BC Cancer – Kelowna invites applications for the position of Associate Physician in Radiation Oncology.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Department Head of Radiation Oncology, the Associate Physician will become an integral member of a dedicated multidisciplinary team comprising radiation oncologists, general practitioners in oncology (GPOs), and nurse practitioners (NPOs). This role is an opportunity to contribute to a provincial cancer care program renowned for its commitment to excellence in research, education, and patient care.
The Radiation Oncology Department at BC Cancer – Kelowna is a full-service cancer center, delivering care to thousands of patients annually. The department is equipped with advanced facilities, including:
2 CT simulators
5 linear accelerators offering capabilities for VMAT, SABR, SRS, and adaptive radiotherapy
A leading-edge brachytherapy program
The department operates in close collaboration with on-site medical physics, radiation therapy, dosimetry, and nursing teams, as well as the adjacent medical oncology department. Additionally, the department works closely with other medical and surgical specialties at Kelowna General Hospital, a tertiary referral center in the region.
